The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a stern warning to officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, against any attempt to rig the 2027 general elections.

In a video, Primate Ayodele also extended the warning to politicians, members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, and security operatives.

According to him, the 2027 election would be significant for Nigeria.

He described it as an opportunity to “remodify Nigeria” and bring about major changes in the country.

He stressed that Nigerians were worn out by “years of political failure.”

“If you’re a politician, INEC official, NYSC member or security operative, and you ever take a step to rig the 2027 election, your generation after generation will be cursed,” the cleric warned.

He noted that he did not have any affiliation with any political party but would continue to speak about issues concerning the election based on his observations.

His remarks come as Nigerians prepare to go to the polls next year to elect their leaders for the next four years.
