Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has directed his lawyers to withdraw all pending lawsuits against Senator Natasha and other individuals.

Akpabio made this known while speaking during a New Year service at Sacred Heart Parish, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

According to him, he had instituted nearly nine court cases against individuals he accused of defaming and slandering him.

However, he said his decision changed after listening to a sermon delivered by the priest during the service.

“I had almost nine cases in court against some individuals who defamed me, who lied against me and slandered my name. But as I listened to the priest, I suddenly realised he was speaking to me,” Akpabio said.

He added that the message prompted him to forgive those involved, leading to his decision to discontinue all legal actions.

“Therefore, I hereby direct my solicitors to withdraw all lawsuits against them,” the Senate President stated.
