A former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja has agreed to withdraw a case filed against the state government and other members of Olubadan-In-Council.

Ladoja, who is the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, agreed to withdraw the case on Monday at a meeting attended by some Ibadan elders and other High Chiefs who have been promoted to the status of Obas.

This online medium reports that Ladoja had earlier dragged the state government and other High Chiefs to court over elevation of the High Chiefs to the status of Obas.

Ladoja has, however, agreed to withdraw the case in court.

He made this pledge after three different meetings were held with some elders of Ibadan.

The meetings were held at the residence of a former President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Chief Bode Amao.

A source told CN Monday evening that Ladoja agreed to withdraw the case during the meeting.

“The latest is that Ladoja has agreed to withdraw his case against the Oyo State government and the other High Chiefs.

“He has agreed to withdraw the case today.

“You know that a meeting was held last Wednesday. So, at today’s meeting, Ladoja agreed to withdraw the case he instituted against the Oyo State government and the other High Chiefs over the elevation of some High Chiefs to the status of Obas,” the source hinted.
