AnambraDecides: IPOB enthroning FG’s candidate – Dokubo alleges

Asari Dokubo, a major political figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria on Thursday accused the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) of trying to disenfranchise Anambra residents by threatening a seven-day sit-at-home from November 5.

Unless Nnamdi Kanu is released by the Federal Government on or before November 4, IPOB says it will go ahead with the lockdown in support of its detained Leader.

But Dokubo fears IPOB’s action will ‘effectively enthrone whichever candidate that Abuja prefers over Anambrarians’.

He gave the warning about IPOB via the official Facebook page of his Non-governmental organization, the Dokubo Asari Foundation.

The Editor Nigeria reports that the Anambra election 2021 is scheduled for November 6.

Read Dokubo’s full post below:

*URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT*
This is a public announcement for posterity!
1: It has come to my attention that the DOS of IPOB has broadcasted a one-week Sit-at-home order in Igboland (as part of Biafra) starting from November 5.
2: It is public knowledge that the Gubernatorial Elections of Anambra State of Igboland are slated to take place on November 6.
3: It is therefore unequivocal that IPOB through its Sit-at-home order targets to disenfranchise Anambrarians from the Anambra Elections, from choosing their next Governor.
4: Let it be known that with this order, IPOB is effectively enthrowning whichever candidate that Abuja prefers over Anambrarians. *Let it be absolutely and clearly known to Ndiigbo that IPOB should be held singularly responsible for installing a puppet upon Anambra State, the Light of the Nation*
5: As offshoot from above, NDIIGBO should start drawing conclusions about the ultimate goals and targets of IPOB.
6: Naked facts abound that activities of IPOB have systematically created excuses (flimsy or otherwise) for handing Igboland over to the Military Forces of Abuja for occupation starting 2017. The reckless activities of IPOB today in view of the Anambra elections will now institutionalize the occupation of Anambra via the ballot box. NDIIGBO, be informed before it happens.
