“Treat the surrendering Biafrans well or risk their children rising.” – Gen. Effiong, 1970
Five decades after, we are still beating the same drums of war we fought only to keep Nigeria in name but not in truth and in deed.
We are dealing with the consequences of maltreatment of the children of the surrendered parents.
“Treat the youths well, get them involved in governance decisions. They are hungry and angry.” – Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, 2020.
The consequences of turning deaf ears to Ooni’s admonition will be horrendous in a time not so far away.
We either build a sustainable nation or we all sink with the nation this egotistical GMB and his deceitful cohorts have created with their lackluster attitude towards governance. Whether Nigeria stands or falls, the legacy of this regime is clear to all and the coming generation will be told.
Many have lost hope in Nigeria but I say this is our last hope – its darkest before its dawn. Nigeria must get here before we finally get there.
Nigeria bleeds because of failure of leadership. This is the defining moment like never before. The future beckons now.
Nigeria longs for a TRUE NIGERIAN leader, not a pretender who has only fulfilled a personal ambition.
