Kwara director dies in office

The Kwara State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, was thrown into mourning on Monday following the death of Dr Khalid Ibrahim Ndaman.

He reportedly died in his office early Monday in Ilorin, the state capital.

Theeditorngr.com reports that Ndaman, until his death was the Director of Veterinary in the Ministry of Agriculture.

It was also gathered the late director was well and sound.
A staff of the same ministry, who had an official matter with him, found his lifeless body in his office, it was gathered.
“The staff knocked on his door, but no response so after some time he went inside.

“There was a pending official matter since Friday that he needed to conclude with him so he needed to see him.
“Having waited outside and no response the staff went inside the office and met him resting his head on the table.
“He greeted him no response until he moved close and touch him to realise that he’s already dead,” another staff confided in our reporter.”

Circumstances surrounding his death remained unclear at the time of this report.

Theeditorngr.com reports that the attention of his family members, whom sources said lived close to the ministry, was immediately called to the incident.

A staff member, who preferred anonymity, described the deceased as the most generous Director in the Ministry.

“The Ministry had wanted to take the corpse to the hospital for autopsy, but some family members said it was not necessary since he just slumped and died.”

When contacted, the spokesman of the Kwara State Police Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the report.
He said: ”I’m aware of the incident. For now, it’s a case of sudden natural death until we complete the investigation. We will brief the press depending on the outcome of our findings.”
