The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Engineer James Adepoju, is dead.

Theeditorngr.com gathered that Adepoju died on Wednesday.

Our correspondent recalls that he was appointed last year by Governor Seyi Makinde.

The cause of his death has not been revealed as at the time of filing this report on Wednesday.

Our correspondent gathered that before his appointment, Adepoju was the Engineering Head of Prize Engineering Consultants Limited.

He is a graduate of Civil Engineering from the University of Ibadan, and has been involved in several projects, including providing engineering consultancy services on the construction of Igbeti-Ogbomoso Road, Oshodi Transport Interchange; reconstruction/upgrading of Oshodi-Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road; Oshodi-Abule Egba Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project and VGC Flood Control Project, among others.

Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa confirmed the death of Adepoju to theeditorng.com.

Adisa in a telephone conversation on Wednesday, added that Adepoju died on Wednesday.

He said, “Yes. I heard it. He died today.”
