Governor Okowa loses dad

The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa has lost his father, Sir Arthur Okowa.

Theeditorngr.comreports the Governor’s father died at the age of 89.

Arthur Okowa died on Thursday morning at the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba.

Until his death, the late Chief Arthur Okorie Uzoma Okowa popularly called AOU was the Okpara-Uku of Owa-Alero.

The Governor’s father hails from Owa-Alero, Ika North East Local Government Area of the State. He was born in August 1932.

A family source told theeditorng.com that the Octogenarian has been on and off with illness. However, the cause of death was not known as at press time.
