The League of Yewa-Awori Media Practitioners (LOYAMP) has warmly congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, fondly known as Yayi, on his peaceful and successful emergence through a consensus arrangement at the Ogun State APC Caucus Meeting held on Monday, April 13, 2026.

In a statement e-signed by the National President of the association, Elhadj (Otunba) Abu-Satar Idowu Hamed, and made available to the media by the Secretary-General, Mr. Simon Fakeye, the group described the decision of the APC leadership in Ogun State as both historic and jinx-breaking.

LOYAMP noted that the calm and orderly consensus process signals a strong foundation that could translate into a resounding landslide victory for the party in the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.

“It is indeed a remarkable achievement – one that represents not just a personal victory, but a collective triumph for Yewa-Awori and Nigeria at large”, the statement read.

The National President reaffirmed the association’s readiness to collaborate with the senator’s campaign team, in line with resolutions reached during a meeting with him in November last year.

He emphasized the group’s continued commitment to projecting the senator’s achievements and highlighting their impact on constituency development and beyond.

Abu-Satar clarified that LOYAMP is not a union but a professional association of seasoned journalists and publishers, drawn from the five local government areas of Ogun West.

According to him, the body remains committed to promoting balanced reporting, constructive engagement, and development-driven journalism that strengthens mutual understanding between political leaders and the people.

“On behalf of the League of Yewa-Awori Media Practitioners, I extend heartfelt congratulations to you for breaking a 50-year political jinx in Ogun State”, Abu-Satar stated.

He further commended Senator Adeola’s performance over the past three years as a Senator representing Ogun West at the National Assembly, noting that his representation has contributed significantly to youth employment, infrastructural development, and the socio-economic advancement of Yewa-Awori land and beyond.

“We acknowledge and commend your unwavering commitment to your constituents, which has positively impacted our people”, he added.

Highlighting the role of the media, he said LOYAMP served as a bridge between the people and leaders who have demonstrably delivered democratic dividends, stressing that the association’s responsibility goes beyond information dissemination to include education, development advocacy, and fostering mutual understanding.

The LOYAMP President also praised Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his support and inclusive leadership, which he said has rekindled hope in the long-standing aspirations of the Yewa-Awori people.

He assured that the association would continue to strengthen its role as a communication bridge, ensuring that credible information about developmental initiatives is effectively relayed to the public.

“Our relationship is geared towards building a stronger partnership with Senator Adeola Yayi, particularly in the areas of information dissemination, public engagement, and projecting his achievements and contributions to society, which we have been doing since our last year interaction in Lagos.

“We believe that an informed public fosters trust, and the media remains a critical stakeholder in shaping narratives that reflect truth, progress, and development”, he said

The association further pledged its commitment to working collaboratively with the senator – whom it described as the next governor of Ogun State by divine grace – to ensure accurate and balanced reporting of his activities, while reaffirming its unwavering support toward a successful outing in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

LOYAMP wishes Senator Adeola Yayi a successful campaign season and overwhelming victory at the polls.

“May God continue to guide you, grant you sound health, wisdom, and long life to accomplish great feats during your tenure, in Yeshua’s name.”
