Former presidential spokesman Femi Adesina has said that ex-President Muhammadu Buhari may not have lived as long as he did had he depended solely on medical care in Nigeria

Speaking during a special broadcast for Buhari’s funeral on Tuesday, Adesina addressed criticism over Buhari’s consistent use of foreign hospitals, especially in the UK.
“Those who criticised Buhari’s death in a London hospital should remember that he had always used London hospitals even before becoming president in 2015,” Adesina said.
He explained that British doctors were familiar with Buhari’s medical history, making it reasonable for the former president to remain under their care.
Adesina added that some hospitals in Nigeria lack the advanced equipment and expertise needed to treat Buhari’s health condition effectively.
