Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo has defended his English colleague, Tonto Dikeh against criticisms from fans after she did a review of his movie.

The movie star, who was in the news on Thursday for calling out NDLEA, shared her thoughts on the movie, Jagun Jagun.

Tonto revealed that it was her first time watching a Nigerian movie in over 10/12 years, and she was shaken and left in awe after watching the movie.

She described Jagun Jagun as an amazing movie, praising the crew and cast for their phenomenal work.

Tonto emphasized that she doesn’t know any of the cast and crew of the movie personally and only watched it because it was recommended by her international friends.

“This is my review for My very first watched Nigerian movie in over 10/12 years.

I was shook. I think this is an amazing movie. Don’t personally know anyone in this movie from production to crew. But I watched it on popular demand via my international friends and I must say I AM FLABBERGASTED!!!
Weldone to the producers, crew, and cast!!”.

Her statement of not watching Nigerian movies and not knowing the cast of Jagun Jagun left many slamming the movie star.

One Baba Johne wrote, “First time watching Nigerian movie…don’t know anyone in the movie… All unnecessary information that no one needs to hear.

One Official Uwem Jay wrote, “You don’t know anyone in the movie? Really?

One Original Adedayo wrote, “Not watching your own country’s movie is now a flex. Okay

One Uhunamure Kenneth wrote, “Nobody asked her if she knows them personally, or if she doesn’t watch Nigeria movies. That’s your choice, you keep them to yourself”.

Taking to her comment section, Femi Adebayo appreciated her for the review and urged critics to tone down their volume.

Defending her, he stated that Tonto was only implying that she didn’t have any close relationship with them, hence, wasn’t been sentimental in her judgment of his movie.

“Thank you Tonto. Guys please the word personally. In this context means we are not close hence no sentiment in her review. Pls let it be. Thank you so much. I appreciate you all”.

Tonto replied him asking for them to get to know each other better.

“My brother let’s use this energy to know ourselves. Pls forget these people. I appreciate you sir”.

Also weighing in on it was Nkechi Blessing who slammed critics for their lack of comprehension.

“They will leave the word PERSONALLY, and face oda things dat don’t matter. I can see d comments already. Read to understand MBA”.
