The Editor Nigeria reports that men of the Nigerian police force have raided the home of former Zamfara governor, Bello Mattawale in search of missing government vehicles.

This was made known by a former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode on his social media page.

According to FFK, the police officers didn’t have any search warrant or court order to justify their actions. He revealed that they acted based on the orders from the new governor, Dauda Lawal.

It would be recalled that Governor Dauda Lawal ordered Mattawale to return the government properties in his possession some days back.

See FFK’s statement below;

This morning a detachment of policemen raided the home of my brother, the former Gov. of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle in Maradun. They claimed to be looking for cars. They did not have a search or arrest warrant and they claimed to be acting on the orders of the new Governor.… pic.twitter.com/HJKhTCde42
