Nigeran Senators from Kwara State on Wednesday threw their weights behindÂ Governor Abdurahman Abdulrazaq.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, the lawmakers described the governor as the authentic leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The senators,Â Ibrahim Oloriegbe (Kwara Central),Â Lola Ashiru (Kwara South)Â andÂ Umar Sadiq (Kwara North).
According to the members of the upper legislative chamber, all the money realised by the APC in the state to prosecute the 2019 elections was judiciously utilised under the leadership of the governor.
They slammed the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed for saying Kwara State, under the current administration, had â€œentered one-chance.â€
The lawmakers also explained that the revalidation of membership registration would soon start to enable those who had yet to register to do so before the state partyâ€™s congress.
The Editor NigeriaÂ reports that Kwara APC has been embroiled in controversy, which has divided the party into two factions.
Lai MohammedÂ had on Saturday made damning accusations againstÂ Governor AbdulrahmanÂ while opening a factional secretariat of the party.
