Lagos To Divert Traffic At Marina Axis In Continuation Of Blue Line Rail Project

LASG TO DIVERT TRAFFIC AT OUTER MARINA AXIS IN CONTINUATION OF BLUE LINE RAIL PROJECT
In continuation of the ongoing Blue Line Rail Project, the Lagos State Government will divert traffic on outer Marina Road.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Transportation, the Commissioner, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde said that the diversion will be embarked upon to enable the launch of a beam on the outer Marina after the descent from Apongbon Bridge.
He advised motorists to utilise the Third Mainland Bridge or Oyingbo/Iddo route to connect Carter Bridge and link Leventis to access their desired destinations, adding that a lane will be made available for vehicular movement from Apongbon.
Oladeinde also stated that motorists from Eko Bridge could use Leventis inwards outer Marina Road to continue their journey, stressing the need to cooperate with the State’s Traffic Management Personnel that would be deployed to the axis during the diversion.
While thanking Lagosians for their perseverance in view of the various construction works ongoing in different parts of the metropolis, the Transport Commissioner assured that the efforts being made will ensure the Blue line project is completed in record time to create options of mobility for the citizenry.
