Lagos Socialite, Farida Who Attempted Suicide Sends Message To Children,Speaks On Forgiveness

Sequel to an attempt to take her own life, Lagos State socialite and entrepreneur Farida Abdulkabir, popularly known as Farida Sobowale, has tendered an apology to her children.

This online medium recalls that Farida attempted suicide by jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge into Lagos Lagoon.

Farida on Thursday reportedly drove her Lexus SUV to the mainland bridge, came down, and was about to jump into the Lagoon when she was rescued by some people at the scene.

A viral video of the incident reveals how rescuers saved her from the suicide attempt.

However, after reacting to the incident on Friday, Farida appreciated her relatives, loved ones, and fans.

She also took to social media to apologise to her children, saying she wouldn’t have forgiven herself if she had succeeded in the suicide attempt and left her children behind.

She said, “I am so sorry for putting my children in such a position. I would not have forgiven myself if I had abandoned them after committing suicide.”

This platform understands that she has been in the news lately over reports of her crashed marriage.

Online reports had alleged that Farida’s husband, Demola, had moved out of their matrimonial home to meet a side chick he was dating before their marriage.
