Increase In Wages, Reversal Of PMS Pump Price: TUC Lists Demands To FG
The Trade Union Congress Of Nigeria ( TUC) has presented a list of demands to the federal government in the aftermath of the removal of fuel subsidy one of which is for the government to increase the minimum wage.
Addressing State house correspondents on Sunday at the end of the meeting between representatives of the federal government and the members of the TUC Union held at the Presidential Villa Abuja, both parties described the meeting as fruitful.
TUC among its demands is asking for a reversal of pump price and a tax break for some workers.
The Federal Government assures that it is also actively engaging with the umbrella union body, the NLC, which had recently announced a nationwide strike starting from Wednesday this week.
The NLC insists that the government must revert to the previous petrol pump price.
