IGP Assigns Portfolios To Newly Promoted DIGs (Full List)
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has assigned portfolios to five newly promoted Deputy Inspectors General of Police.
The newly-promoted DIGs are to oversee departments where former heads recently bowed out of service after completing full meritorious years of service in the force.
The newly-promoted DIGs and the departments they will supervise are: DIG Usman Alkali Baba, fdc will now head the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), DIG Ibrahim A. Lamorde, mni – Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB), DIG David Oyebanji Folawiyo, mni – Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), DIG Joseph O. Egbunike – Department of Finance and Administration, DIG Dan-Mallam Mohammed, fdc – Department of Training and Development. Similarly, AIG Moses Ambakina Jitoboh, mni was redeployed from the Border Patrol Section to Acting DIG in-charge of the Department of Research and Planning.
The IGP in a statement on Friday, 25th December by the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, while congratulating the Officers, who by this promotion and posting, are now members of the Force Management Team, charged them to bring their vast experience and professionalism to bear in their leadership of the Departments to enhance the ongoing reforms and repositioning of the Force.
