Fani-Kayode Reacts As Former Bodyguard Becomes New OPC Leader
Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the emergence of a new leader for the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC).
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain congratulated Otunba Wasiu Afolabi over his emergence as the OPC leader.
The Editor Nigeria reports that Fani-Kayode made this known in a post on his Twitter handle on Monday.
According to the former minister, the new OPC leader was a member of his security team in 2005 when he served in the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Fani-Kayode wrote: “I congratulate Otunba Wasiu Afolabi on his emergence as leader of the OPC. Wasiu is a strong, focused, forthright & courageous man who I have known for 20 years.
“He was one of Dr. Fasheun’s most trusted lieutenants & in 2005 he was a member of my security team. I wish him well.â€
