BREAKING: Bandits Invade Zamfara Gov’s Hometown, Abduct ‘Large Number’ Of Students
Bandits who were in large number stormed Government Day Secondary School Kaya in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara state and kidnapped over 100 students.
An indigene of the area, Malam Abu Kaya said the bandits arrived the school at around 11:00 am on Wednesday when the school was in session.
He stressed that, although, the number of the kidnapped students was yet to be known, the victims would be more than 100.
“We are yet to identify the actual number students abducted but we believed that they would reach 100”.
He maintained that the school has a population of over 300 hundreds, adding that, a significant number of students have been taken by the bandits.
Kaya further explained that the whole town was deserted due to the fear that the bandits could return to the area.
Efforts to get comments from the state police command failed as the phone numbers of the spokesperson of the command SP Mohammed Shehu could not be reached after several attempts.
